Vessels currently in the contamination area are not authorized to depart until decontamination is completed.  VTS Houston/Galveston directs all tow vessels transiting through the contamination zone between Tucker’s Bayou and LT Buoy 116 to maintain a 30 minute spacing to complete pollution inspection

2132       As of March 26th, 2019, the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP) has opened Houston Ship Channel between Tucker Bayou and

HSC light 116 to allow for vessel traffic, managed through Vessel Traffic Service (VTS), during daylight hours only. Old River and Carpenters Bayou remain closed to all traffic. All vessels are required to check in and out via VTS

the lee of the Rockies tonight and winds will veer to the

southeast. Onshore winds will remain in place through Saturday. A

strong cold front is expected to cross the coastal waters Saturday
