Synopsis for High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60

nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays

501 AM CST Sat Mar 9 2019

.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Moderate morning offshore southerlies as stronger higher level

winds mix down over warmer waters. More warm and moist flow over

relatively cooler nearshore and bay shelf waters keeps the

chances for sea fog alive over the next several evenings and

mornings. Today’s winds will weaken and turn easterly tomorrow in

response to a passing weak Central Plains cold front. An easterly

wind direction will be more favorable for fog development. Winds

turn more southerly Monday and will strengthen ahead of the next

mid week Plains front.
