RESTRICTIONS @ HOUSTON
Rapid COVID-19 testing is available for any crewmember that may require COVID-19 testing before repatriating home.
Rapid COVID-19 test (results in approx. 20 minutes) cost $400 per test and PCR test (results in approx. 48 hours) cost $350 per test.
CBP Houston is currently not permitting off-signers to stay in hotel to wait for the flights home. They must go direct for vessel to IAH for their flights.
Due to some recent absconders and/or deserters by Indian crewmembers, CBP Houston is advising the following:
CBP will be detaining the Indian crewmembers on board vessels on a case-by-case basis. The captain/agent will need to advise the CBP Officer conducting the inspection
on arrival of any Indian crewmembers who will be repatriating and they will be given a D1 status so they can be given D2 for repatriation at the CBP office. Agent will be required to request approval in writing from CBP for repatriation after completion of
CBP inspection. Off signing Indian crewmembers will require guards from vessel to IAH until wheels are up on their flight.
The below information will be required to request repartition from CBP:
- Crew passport bio page
- Crew C1/D visa
- Crew I-95 landing permit
- E-Tickets with direct flights departing from IAH
